Easily soluble in water, alcohol, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, slightly soluble in benzene. Aluminum chloride sublimates at 178 ° C, and its vapor is an associated bimolecular. Aluminum chloride easily absorbs water and partially hydrolyzes to release hydrogen chloride to form an acid mist. Easily soluble in water and strongly hydrolyzed, the solution is acidic. Also soluble in ethanol and ether, while releasing a lot of heat.
